As a musician, one of your biggest expenses will always be graphic and web design, and it is a FACT that good design is what can make the difference between lot's of sales and customers and no sales or customers, but the truth is, most musicians cannot afford a top level design team every time they have a gig, project or need to promote something.
For this reason, I highly recommend considering basic graphic design as an element of any working musician's core business arsenal. (Other skills include money management, people management and actual playing ability.)
